The illustrations below show how BIOSCAL works. Initially, the scalp starts to accumulate dried sebum as the natural oils harden. This is further aggravated by dirt, chemical residues, a dry scalp, dandruff etc and most importantly DHT (see All About Hair) and these find their way into the follicle. The DHT reacts in the follicle and starts to adversely affect the hair growth as the follicle becomes blocked with foreign matter.

When BIOSCAL is applied , it starts to clean the scalp and penetrate the follicles. When it has cleansed the follicle it then penetrates the tissue and stimulates the nervous and circulatory systems and causes hair growth to resume and the hairs themselves to become thicker and healthier.

A variety of clinical test and market research studies have been conducted on BIOSCAL, which are outlined below.

CLINICAL TESTS

In the initial development of the BIOSCAL treatment, exhaustive and critically controlled testing showed that:

• excessive hair loss was stabilized between 10 and 30 days
• 80% of the test cases showed new hair growth after 6-12 weeks
• no harmful side effects were experienced by either men or women

Subsequent research was conducted by a group of independent French dermatologists, in which 46 male subjects were treated for a period of 10 months. Their report "Objective Clinical Findings Using the Trichogram Method" produced similar favorable results:

• an increase in anagens in all areas of the scalp sampled.
• a very marked and significant reduction in the loss of hair as evidenced by both the traction tests and the questioning of subjects
• the majority of subjects emerged with hair that was thicker and easier to groom
• a high tolerance level on the part of the subjects
• this treatment is particularly important for young subjects

MARKET RESEARCH

A market research study, undertaken by the York Enterprise Development Centre of York University in Toronto, sent questionnaires to 1,500 users of the BIOSCAL Treatment method. Of these 70% stated that they were pleased with the performance of the treatment and continued to use it.
