Hair growth

Hair growth happens in stages, meaning some hair is growing while other hairs are resting. Normal hair growth means that about 90% of the scalp hair is in a 2-7 year growth phase while the remaining 10% is in a 2-4 month resting phase. As one hair is shed, a new one starts growing to take it's place. This process repeats itself over and over again in most people. Hair loss occurs when this natural process is disrupted and the rate of shedding exceeds the rate of re-growth.

Everyday shedding of hair is normal. On average we should lose 50-100 hairs from our scalp. It is all part of the hair growth cycle.

Hair’s growth rate is quite stable. Scalp hair rarely grows more than half an inch per month. Each hair’s potential length is determined by its life span. Scalp hairs are longer than other body hairs because they live longer. Eyelashes, for example, only last for about 4 months.

Bioscal® is used to remove obstacles to natural, healthy hair growth, to prepare and stimulate the scalp for new hair growth and to optimize the growth conditions for the new hair.
