| Children and hair loss |
| Children and adults typically lose between 50 and 100 hairs every day. Abnormal hair loss may be caused by many different conditions. The most common in children are fungal infections of the scalp, conditions in which the child pulls hair out, scar formation on the scalp, hair being pulled out by too tight braiding, ponytails or pigtails. Some medications, stress or illness can also cause hair loss in children. It is generally recommended that you seek medical advice if you notice your child losing an abnormal amount of hair. Bioscal® is generally considered safe for use in children as well as adults. |
